Music Monday...Only It's Wednesday

What is Music Monday? It is a new thing I want to start where I will post anywhere from a song, to an album, or playlist I am currently listening to and loving, and I will do it every Monday. I want a chance to share music I like and new stuff I find with you all! I know, it's not Monday, but I didn't feel like waiting until Monday to post this, and it has to be Music Monday because I like the alliteration, so if you want to wait to listen until Monday be my guest, but the playlist is right here ready for you to listen to, so maybe you should just break the rules (I already did).

My JulyOk, so here is a short little playlist of some songs I am listening to this summer. It has a mix of different songs from artists like Christina Perri (featuring Ed Sheeran), Aloe Blacc, The Head And The Heart and some other great artists. Whether you're driving to the lake or just spending the day lounging around the house, these songs will hopefully give you a little boost to your day.

This is My July in Music: Press play and enjoy!

Here is the link to the playlist if you want to follow it:

What are you listening to?

This is what I'm listening to, but I always love finding new music so let me know what you're listening to in the comments below!

until next time

Strawberry Picking on a Friday Afternoon

20140629-181527-65727718.jpgThe sun was shining high in the blue covered sky the day me and my lovely friend Rel decided to spend our afternoon picking strawberries. I was so excited because the last time I had done this was when I was a kid, and I couldn't wait to feel like a kid again. I don't know why I haven't done this more regularly. Things got off to a little of a rough start because we had the wrong address, but then we figured it out, and had a nice "scenic route" and beautiful drive. I love driving through the country especially on days like these. Everything is so peaceful and simple. There's no street noises like horns honking or music blaring, just the gentle breeze making the leaves in the trees rustle and the birds in the sky chirping :) The strawberry patch had a simple stand with a giant wood carved strawberry out front. It wasn't too busy, so we just had fun taking our time to pick the best strawberries, and eating the ones that were perfect! It was such a great time and I can't wait to go again. For now I'll enjoy eating all my strawberries and making my family some strawberry shortcake for dessert, YUM!

Here are some more pictures from our afternoon.
